Lord God, thank you for the special celebrations we have at Easter. Thank you for chocolate and special visitors and time off from school and work.

Thank you for the special message of Easter. Than you for our brave saviour, Jesus, who died so that we might be forgiven, and then rose again to a new and powerful life.

Please help us to make this world a safer, happier place with love and justice and freedom from fear. Help each one of us to do what we can to look after your creation and to live as Jesus wants us to live.

Please look after the people we know who are sad or poorly. We pray especially for John and Viji Steven. Please help John to get better very soon and help Viji to look after him without exhausting herself. And please be very close to them both.

And please work through this church community to bless the people who live nearby. Help us to bring practical love and to offer friendship and to do good things in your precious name.
